What Is Legacy School of Ministry?
LSM is an intense discipleship program which equips people to effectively reach their city, state, country, and world for the cause of Christ. LSM was established and exists today with five core values: discipleship, worship, prayer, scripture memorization, and evangelism. These values are instilled within every disciple that lives this powerful experience.

The classes blend academics with leadership, outreach, and discipleship training. Still, the main focus of the classes is to prepare the individual to be a stronger Christian in the real world.

Students build a strong foundation as they daily practice scripture memorization, personal devotions, consistent prayer time, servant hood, and positive study habits. They develop the skills of relationship building, mentoring, and public speaking to help them fulfill the awesome responsibility of making Christ known to the world. The most incredible benefit of LSM is the opportunity each individual has to get to know God and develop a personal, intimate relationship with Him. GROWING KIDS GOD'S WAY

Course Description: This class is a comprehensive values-based parenting curriculum. There are several reasons why Growing Kids God’s Way is popular with the masses. The message is clear, the information speaks to the heart and mind of the child, the lessons are practical and the results are compelling - morally responsible children with a healthy view of self and others.
Topics Include: How to help children internalize virtues and values and practically live out the character of God in their life. What parents do to foster insecure children and how they can fix the problems that might now exist. How to say “I love you” to your children and spouse in such a way that each member actually feels the full sensation of parental love. How fathers build or undermine their children’s sense of trust and confidence in parental leadership and how to build family loyalty and identity. What is true character and how to teach children to love and prefer each other? Parents learn what true biblical discipline is about and how to achieve first-time obedience. The curriculum also teaches how to train right behavior into children so you will not have to spend unnecessary time correcting wrong behavior. It also establishes practical ways to help children master their own self-control and make it a life time habit. There are numerous examples, charts and teaching tools that assist the learning process along with a number of insightful appendices.  Growing Kids God’s Way consists of video teaching and images which promote discussion.  Workbook homework reading reinforces the principles.  There are supplemental resources for the single parent and blended families.

Special Guest Instructors: Don & Karen Kurtz
Having been blessed by personally using the Biblical parenting principles presented in the Growing Families curriculums, the Kurtz's have shared them with other couples through classes for 17+ years.  They also serve the NE Ohio community as Area Coordinators for NE Ohio as they direct inquirers to classes and hold alumni events.  Don and Karen have developed supplemental teaching on particular parenting topics and have been invited to present them at GFI National Conferences in recent years as well.  Karen is a Contact Mom/CM Coordinator for CFH/Contact Mom ministry, overseeing Contact Moms in several states.  She also serves on the Board of Christian Family Heritage.  Don and Karen have been married for twenty-six years and have used the principles learned in Growing Kids with all their children—Mollie (22), Titus (19), Kassidy (16), and Raegan (12).

NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS & SPIRITUAL SUCCESSES
Course Description: An intensive study of the irrefutable power of the blood of Christ and ending with a dynamic examination of leading a Spirit-led life.

ESCHATOLOGY (STUDY OF END TIMES)

Course Description: An exhaustive study on pre- and post-rapture events leading up to the final battle between heaven and hell at Armageddon.  Further lessons will examine eternity, rewards, and more.

Instuctor: Pastor Daren Hearnsberger
Pastor Daren and his wife, Angel, moved from Texas in July 2009 to step in as our church's Executive Pastors. Pastor Daren's inspiring preaching/teaching help make LC the great church that it is.  He has served in all aspects of ministry for more than 17 years including 12 years as senior pastors.   Pastors Daren & Angel were instumental in co-founding and administrating our Legacy Preparator Christian Academy (K-12). They were married in August 1992 and have two beautiful, talented daughters, Kelsey and Melanie.
